A New Chapter for Ironstone... Resilience and Community

Hello, friends!
Life doesn’t always go as planned, and sometimes it throws challenges our way. While I recharge and recover I am spending some time in another part of the country, learning about how plants adapt and thrive in different conditions. It's been a powerful reminder that growth comes through resilience, even in the toughest times.
Our plan to relocate for a new job opportunity this summer have fallen apart, and I have found myself in a situation no one should ever face. But through it all, one truth is clear: Winton is where I belong. Despite the pain, there is nowhere else I feel more supported and at home. This community, this land, and the life I’ve built here is where I’ll stay.
Ironstone Garden Centre will be reopening in February, and I’m excited for this next chapter. I’ve learned so much about the plants that thrive here, and every new bloom is a reminder of the power of persistence. It’s not just about growing plants—it’s about growing ourselves. No matter the challenges, we can push through and flourish.
At Ironstone, the kids and I believe growth comes from resilience. It’s about nurturing our bonds with the land and each other. Winton has shown me that, together, we don’t just survive—we thrive. I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
If you're struggling, know that like the plants we nurture, you too have the strength to rise and thrive. Reach out, speak up, and support each other. Together, we can grow through anything.
Here’s to a new chapter, to resilience, and to the transformative power of growth. I look forward to welcoming you back in February!
With gratitude and strength,
Alicia
